GTA 6 Standard vs Ultimate Edition: Which Should You Pre-Order?

GTA 6 ships in two editions, and the difference is smaller than a lot of pre-order pages make it sound. Here's what actually separates them.

Standard Edition — \$79.99

The complete single-player campaign following Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval through Leonida. No missing content, no artificial restrictions — this is the full game.

Ultimate Edition — Around \$99.99

Adds bonus vehicles and in-game items on top of the same complete campaign. It's a cosmetic and convenience upgrade, not a content gate.

The Pre-Order Bonus That Applies to Both

Anyone who pre-orders or buys before November 20, 2026 — Standard or Ultimate — gets the Vintage Vice City Pack. That bonus isn't exclusive to the pricier edition, which is the main reason we'd steer most players toward Standard unless the bonus vehicles specifically appeal to you.

Our Take

Pay for Ultimate if the bonus items matter to you. Otherwise, Standard gets you the identical story and world for \$20 less.
